Funny lady, Roberta Kent, has entertained audiences around the globe. Roberta toured with Barry Manilow for twelve years and was his opening act and co-writer, earning her the title of Creative Consultant. Roberta opened for Reba McEntire and was Julio Iglesias' opening act at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Roberta got her start doing audience warm-ups for many different television shows. It was comic Garry Shandling who, after seeing Roberta delight warm-up audiences, encouraged her to pursue a standup career. 

​

Roberta has appeared as a guest on many national talk shows and she is a sought after coach and writer for many celebrities such as Mary Hart and Suzanne Somers. She was a contributing writer on numerous TV game shows including "Hollywood Squares."

​

Roberta has starred in several national commercials including one for the Gas Company's self cleaning oven where she sings and dances! She is also featured in movies such as the hit comedies "Kentucky Fried Movie" and "Tunnel Vision"!

For many years, Roberta was a staple at the famed Comedy Store on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles where she hosted a weekly "Entertainer's Showcase". She introduced and mentored many up-and-coming comics and singers. Look for Roberta's name on the exterior of this landmark comedy club!

Roberta studied at the famed Pasadena Playhouse and the Desilu Studios Comedy Workshop.

​

Currently, Roberta is performing her stand-up at clubs in LA and Palm Springs and is hosting a new "Entertainer's Showcase" in Los Angeles. This offers her students an invaluable chance to perform in front of an appreciative audience and hone their skills.

And "yes" the legend is true...she was one of the girls at Elvis' mansion!
